Welcome to the Resonare Community
Resonare is a community of music lovers who share their listening experiences, discover new albums, and connect with others who share their passion for music. These Community Guidelines help ensure Resonare remains a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable space for everyone.
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. Violations of these guidelines may result in content removal and account termination.
1. Be Respectful
Treat others the way you want to be treated. Everyone has different tastes in music, and that's what makes our community interesting!
Do:
- Share your honest opinions about albums respectfully
- Engage in constructive discussions about music
- Appreciate that others may have different musical preferences
- Welcome new members to the community
Don't:
- Attack or belittle others for their music taste
- Use offensive language or slurs
- Engage in personal attacks or name-calling
- Dismiss or mock others' opinions
2. Prohibited Content
The following types of content are strictly prohibited on Resonare:
Hate Speech
Content that promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, national origin, or any other protected characteristic.
Harassment and Bullying
Targeting individuals with the intent to harass, intimidate, threaten, or bully. This includes repeated unwanted contact, coordinated attacks, and sharing someone's personal information without consent (doxxing).
Sexual Content
Sexually explicit content, including pornography, sexual solicitation, or content that sexualizes minors.
Violence and Threats
Content that threatens, glorifies, or incites violence against individuals or groups. This includes credible threats of physical harm.
Illegal Activity
Content that promotes or facilitates illegal activities, including drug trafficking, fraud, or other criminal behavior.
Spam and Manipulation
Unsolicited promotional content, fake accounts, artificial engagement, or any form of manipulation that disrupts the genuine community experience.
Misinformation
Deliberately spreading false information that could cause harm to individuals or the community.
Impersonation
Pretending to be another person, artist, band, or organization in a misleading way.
3. Reviews and Ratings
Your reviews and ratings are valuable contributions to our community. Here's how to make them great:
Good Reviews:
- Share your genuine thoughts and feelings about an album
- Explain what you liked or didn't like about the music
- Be specific about songs, production, or themes that stood out
- Write reviews that might help others discover new music
Avoid:
- Reviews that attack the artist personally rather than critiquing the music
- Spam reviews or rating manipulation
- Reviews containing offensive language or content unrelated to the album
- Copying reviews from other sources without attribution
4. Profile Content
Your profile is your identity in the Resonare community:
Username:
- Choose a username that doesn't contain offensive language
- Don't impersonate other users, artists, or public figures
- Avoid usernames with hate speech or discriminatory terms
Bio:
- Tell us about your music taste!
- Don't include links to inappropriate content
- Keep it friendly and welcoming
5. Interactions with Others
Resonare is social! Here's how to interact positively:
Following:
- Follow users whose music taste interests you
- Respect users who don't follow you back or who have private profiles
- Don't mass-follow or use follow/unfollow tactics to manipulate
Blocking:
- You can block any user at any time for any reason
- Use blocking to protect yourself from unwanted interactions
- Blocked users cannot see your profile or contact you
6. Reporting Violations
Help us keep Resonare safe by reporting content that violates these guidelines:
How to Report:
- Tap the menu icon (...) on any profile, review, or diary entry
- Select "Report"
- Choose the reason that best describes the violation
- Add any additional details that might help our review
What Happens After a Report:
- Our team reviews all reports within 24 hours
- We may remove content that violates our guidelines
- Serious or repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination
- We do not share reporter identities with reported users
False Reports:
Please only report genuine violations. Repeatedly filing false reports may result in action against your own account.
7. Consequences of Violations
We take violations of these guidelines seriously. Consequences may include:
First Violation (Minor)
Content removal and a warning to your account.
Repeated Violations
Temporary suspension of your account (typically 24-72 hours).
Serious Violations
Immediate and permanent termination of your account. Serious violations include hate speech, credible threats of violence, harassment campaigns, or illegal content.
We reserve the right to skip directly to permanent termination for severe violations, even on a first offense.
8. Appeals
If you believe your content was removed or your account was suspended in error, you may appeal the decision by contacting us at jimmyshultz3@gmail.com.
Please include:
- Your username
- A description of what happened
- Why you believe the action was incorrect
We will review appeals within 5 business days and notify you of our decision.
9. Updates to Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time to address new issues or improve clarity. We will notify users of significant changes through the App.
Your continued use of Resonare after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
